I am liking this one. Mexico will play their friendly against South Korean in San Antonio, Texas. It will definitely be a lot more Mexican fans on the stands and a home like atmosphere. Mexico hasn`t played a match for some months now and South Korea played with Costa Rica some days ago and won 1:0. But before that have played vs Russia in November. The Koreans are a bit rusty and also missing their European based players like: „Ki Sung-Yueng, Kim Bo-Kyung, Koo Ja-Cheol, Park Joo-Ho, Son Heung-Min, Hong Jeong-Ho, Ji Dong-Won etc.“. They haven`t played a proper competitive match for 2 months and have come here with Korea and Japan based players, virtually a B team. That doesn`t mean they are not dangerous with good forwards like Kim Shin – Wook and Keun Ho Lee but pretty limited in other areas. The Mexicans on the other hand play their first International match in 2 months after they played with New Zeeland. But the majority of A team players are here and since the most of the team consists of players from the Mexican league they are also in competitive rhythm. With 4 rounds already played in the domestic league they should have and edge over the Koreans. There will also be some testing in the team but with the likes of Rafa Marquez, Diego Reyes, Miguel Ponce, Aldo de Nigris and prolific striker Oribe Peralta Mexico has little to worry about.
South Korea didn`t play a very good match against Costa Rica and only won 1:0 though they had 2 more players on the field. Their lack of rhythm, a long flight and a lot of missing players point this game in one direction – Mexico win.
