Cordoba vs Deportivo by JerryDrake

Cordoba will have a lot of spectators (around 15.000 compared to the usual 9.000, according to for this big match in the Liga Adelante when they will face Deportivo La Coruna.

Two different situations for this game: on one side Cordoba started 2014 with 2 wins and 1 draw and obtained 7 points out of 9. On the other side Deportivo drew the first two games in 2014 and lost at home against Las Palmas 1-2. With these results Cordoba are the best team in their league in this first weeks of the year.

Cordoba today will try to win and reach Deportivo in the table, now leading together with Sporting Gijon with 36 points. I am confident that Cordoba will be motivated while Deportivo could suffer the fact that the President has resigned after 25 years, the longest mandate in Spanish football history.

Deportivo will miss two defenders: Marchena 15/2 and Manuel Pablo 19/0 together with striker Arizmendi 15/1. Cordoba will have two players back (Caballero and Luso) while Pedro Sanchez is injured and not avaible.

At the beginning of November Cordoba were in a similar situation when they hosted Sporting Gijon and played a good game which they were leading 2-1 until the last minute when Sporting scored the equalizer. I think that this time Cordoba will get the three points and reach the first places of the table.
