West Ham vs Newcastle by Marlo

West-Ham
VS
Newcastle
West Ham will entertain Newcastle in what on paper isn't the most anticipated premier league encounter. In fact, I would venture to say it is far from it.

Newcastle are on a miserable run which includes 4 losses in their last 4 in all competitions. On the surface, that is poor. However, a deeper look into those 4 losses and even greater scrunity can be applied as they have managed to score only 1 goal in that period.

They lost late to Westbrom owing to a late goal, Cardiff came from a goal down to beat them in the FA Cup. Arsenal came away from a hard fought clash with three points at St. James. In their last match, they will feel hard done by for a goal that was ruled out against Manchester City.

On the other hand, West Ham, 18pts from 21 games, currently sit in 17th place, but can rise as high as 13th if results go their way and from this point on nearly every game should be treated as a cup final for them until their safety is guaranteed. Their last 6 at home has seen them drawn 4, won 1 and loss twice againt Arsenal and Chelsea.

Newcastle are 8th with 33pts from 21 games and will be keep to keep up with the pack especially if they are hopeful of a Champions League place which to be fair is rather slim.

Coloccini and Debuchy will be out for Newcastle and this will weaken undoubtedly weaken them.

I noticed some have tipped WestHam dnb, but their is no way I'm going near a result here. A 1-1 draw is definitely on the cards but I prefer to look at the goals market. Newcastle struggling for goals and West Ham should set up properly at home despite their recent horror shows in defence.

Under 2.5 goals is the best play here, under 3 goals for safety.

Good luck if you're on.
