As Juventus are running for their third consecutive Serie A title, something they dont achieve since eighty years when they won five consecutive titles from season 1930-31 until 1934-35, two other important all-time records have been added by Juventus fans in their wish list: the number of consecutive wins in Serie A held by Inter and the number of total points (17 victories in a row and 97 points in the season 2006-2007).

Juventus have played 19 games and have won now 11 in a row, obtained 52 points and will try to get 46 more out of the 57 points available in order to break Inter's record. This is what we find in the fans' wishlist but I am sure that in his notepad Antonio Conte wrote down “100 points”.

The accomplishment of this goal would have a double meaning for Juventus: the importance of achieving unique results and the satisfaction to break Inter's records obtained also through the absence of Juventus as they had to relegate to Serie B and the signing of former Juventus players Ibrahimovic and Vieira.

The obstacle towards the 12th consecutive win will be Mihajlovic and his team. Sampdoria were in the last places when coach Delio Rossi has been substituted by the Serbian trainer. With Sinisa Mihajlovic Sampdoria has conceded only 5 goals in 7 games, winning 3 games against Catania, Chievo and Udinese, drawing 2 with Lazio and Inter and losing one game in Naples. With the new coach Sampdoria found a good balance in the defense. The Serbian also moved Brazilian striker Eder from the wing to the center of the attack and Eder scored 5 goals in the last 5 games.

As a result of this positive series Sampdoria players are also now more self-confident and ready to avoid relegation and build a stronger team for the future. Last year Sampdoria have defeated Juventus down by 10 men in Turin through two goals scored by Mauro Icardi, now at Inter.

I already wrote in my Roma preview that Roma and Juventus will meet on Tuesday in Coppa Italia. While Garcia is supposed to play with some reserves (but good ones, like Destro and Torosidis or Ljajic), Conte is preparing the best possible line-up for Sampdoria. This means that he wants no room for errors in this Serie A fixture. It is possible that Conte will let Juve play with some reserves in Rome but at the moment all Juventus players must be prepared to play two important games in four days.

On Saturday weather forecast expects bad weather conditions in Turin and in North Italy. Because of this and because of Sampdoria recent form and solidity in the defense and Juventus game in Rome, I think that Juventus will not win by a high margin of goals. My bet is for Sampdoria AH+2 while my small fun bet is Gabbiadini “anytime goalscorer” at Bet365 with odds 7.50. Manolo Gabbiadini is a Juventus player on loan at Sampdoria and he plays well against top teams and he will want to show Conte that he can be useful for Juventus next season.

Sampdoria, together with Cagliari, is the only team which has never lost yet at new Juventus Stadium.
