Laboral Kutxa vs Panathinaikos by Tullamore

Laboral-Kutxa
VS
Panathinaikos
Fernando Buesa Arena has always been a tough place for any opponent and thing aren't going to be much different on Friday evening, when Laboral Kutxa is hosting Panathinaikos. A big rivalry has developed over the years between these teams and this game will be undoubtedly interesting. This won't be the first time, they will face each other this season. Both managed to grab the win at home, including a dramatic game at Vitoria, where the Spaniards prevailed 79-77.

This time Panathinaikos is coming decisive as ever, in an effort to leave the bad days behind. The Greeks seem to be in good shape, despite the fact they haven't brought their "A" game on the court thus far. Coach Pedoulakis is a defensive minded coach, who prefers a rock-solid behavior at the defensive end instead of an explosive offensive performance.

On the other hand, Saski Baskonia hasn't changed many things the last decade, regarding its style of play. Tones of threes and a high tempo game, specially when the opponent is competitive enough and can run the court equally well. At the same time Panathinaikos can handle extremely well against high paced teams, but needs to find solutions offensively. There were spots of improvement lately, talking about the points coming beyond the arc, a key factor to the upcoming game. The Greeks have a respectable depth at every single position and it is time to make a dominant performance against a good opponent, raising the confidence at the locker room.

I am confident backing the visitors here, having in mind the great performance at Kuban and against Olympiacos due to the Greek Cup Semi. Baskonia is no better than any of those teams, that Panathinaikos has already beat. Even if this clash goes down to the wire, i think that Panathinaikos has what it takes to improve to 2-0.

Pick the Greeks and… your thumbs down.

Laboral Kutxa is not better than Kuban? Really? After two exhibitions against Unicaja and solid game vs FC Barcelona.. I take your bet, but I don't agree with this sentence. Howadays Kuban is nobody.

The books underestimate the Greeks, who haven't played as expected so far. The pick on Panathinaikos is an auto-call, if you know what i mean. The value is on it, actually it was on it. Now the 2.10 odds are nowhere. Stan James pays 1,95 and you cannot find a higher price in any book.
I said that Panathinaikos is struggling offensively and this is true. But there were signs of improvement lately and furthermore there was no lack of passion at the previous 3-4 games. That was a spot that everyone who follows Panathinaikos BC could notice it easily. I am not saying this will be easy, b
