Chesterfield won 2-0 away from home and now sit atop League 2 table.
Oxford will be in need of a quick reply heading into Christmas and they will get ample opportunity against a team against a team without a win in 5 games.
York languish in the lower bottom and are 20th with 20 pts from 20 games, scoring 24 and conceding 28 in the process. They find themselves just two pts from the bottom and will be eyeing up at least a point here. Problem is that their opponents won't provide much chances as they have conceded just 3 goals on the road in their last 5 games. Given that Oxford should score here, hosts will need at least 2, something they have done once in their last 5 league games.
I will take Oxford to get at least a draw...stake returned if it ends all square.
Team news is as follows:
York boss Nigel Worthington will select his side to face leaders Oxford from an unchanged squad.
Striker Ryan Bowman sits out the final game of his four-match ban, so Wes Fletcher looks set to continue in attack alongside Ryan Jarvis.
Aaron McCarey, on loan from Wolves, will keep his place in goal with Michael Ingham not yet ready to return from the hip injury that has kept him out of the last five matches.
Oxford have no new injury concerns ahead of the trip to York.
Winger Ryan Williams, who has scored four times in his 13 starts for the leaders, will be involved after he extended his loan stay from Fulham until the end of the season.
Injured trio Alfie Potter, Jon Meades and Andy Whing (all ankle) remain sidelined until February.
