Indiana Pacers vs Detroit Pistons by QuidProQuo
With the Pistons coming off a tough OT game last night(where Josh Smith shot a ridiculous 13-17) this is a bad situational and matchup spot for them to duplicate a pretty good offensive showing last night. Monroe, Smith and Drummond can usually control the boards and paint against most teams, but not vs the Pacers. If Smith and Monroe have to battle, scoring become tedious for a generally mediocre shooting team. The Pistons also still remain the league's worst FT shooting team.
When you have in mind that Indiana is #1 defense in the NBA, allowing opponents to score 83.1 points per game at home, also that they don't score that many points themselves (96.3 ppg) and that the Pacers are #22 team in the NBA in pace (96.4 possessions per game) and on top of all that, Indiana have a big look out game @ Heat on Wednesday, I expect this game to stay under the total...
Under is 10-2 in Pacers last 12 home games, and 7-2 in last 9 Pacers games when they host a team with a losing road record. Also when Detroit is underdog of 11+ points, 9 out of their last 13 games stayed under the total. Under is 21-8 in Pistons last 29 games when they play vs a team with a winning straight up record...
