Charlton vs Derby by Marlo

Charlton
VS
Derby
When top of the table teams clash against bottom of the table it can either throw up a thrashing, or by extension, a massive shock. I strongly believe the chances of the former greatly outweigh the latter as Derby travel to Charlton this weekend.

Charlton are the home team coached by Chris Powell and he must be very worried about the prospect of them escaping relegation this season.

They are currently 21st on the table, 4 pts off the bottom and a major worry for them must be their home form as they haven't won just a single game in their last 7. In fact, they have lost 2 of their last 3 games here. They will still be a bit angry at throwing away a 2 goal lead away from home against fellow strugglers Yeovil and having to come away with a measly point when three were almost firmly in their grasp.

Johnnie Jackson is out for the hosts following suspension.

Derby are on a 5 game winning streak and this has contributed to their rise up the table and have nestled in 4th spot with a chance to go even further up.

They have scored 20 away from home and conceded 10, a 2:1 ratio can hardly be frowned upon. They also have the best away record in the division and of all the teams they have the most points on their travels. I can't see Charlton scoring 2 or more here and this is exactly what may be needed come matchday.

Last three times these teams met it ended 1-1. However, previous two games between these sides were won by Derby (on their own turf).

Form over fixtures for me and I can see Derby milking this run a while longer. I was looking at dnb which offers scant value. But more appropriate offerings come in the form of Derby win, Derby win and both teams to score, Derby over 1.5 goals.

I will opt for Derby win here but cautious lads can opt for AH0 or dnb for safer selections or for accumulators.
