PSG vs Olympiakos by 20legend
PSG is storming from one win to the other in the domestic league. After the disappointing result in the CL two weeks ago against Anderlecht (1-1), the defending champions beat Nice (3-1) at home, before crushing Reims (0-3) last weekend. That has given them a four-point gap down to Lille in 2nd place and they seem to have found back to themselves after the incident against Anderlecht. They are the leaders in Group A with 10 points after 3-1-0 before the two remaining games.
Olympiakos are also storming towards something big in their domestic league as they are still undefeated with 11-1-0 in 12 games. They have a six-point lead down to 2nd placed PAOK and currently seven straight victories. They are also 2nd in this group with seven points with two wins against Anderlecht (0-3) and Benfica (1-0), but they did also managed a quite lucky draw against Benfica (1-1) away from home in game 2. Their star-striker Mitroglou has almost been like PSG’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic this season with an amazing 17 goals in 15 matches this season, and he carries a big responsibility for Olympiakos’ goal scoring.
Putting the domestic form to the side, Olympiakos will face a way other opponent tonight. PSG took a quite easily victory in the opposite meeting back in Greece (1-4), and Olympiakos should not have any chance to get any points here. I expect PSG to keep up just were they have left off both against Nice and Reims recently and dominate right from the start. They do not want Olympiakos to close the three-point gap ahead of this match, and I expect at least three goals from Ibrahimovic, Lavezzi and all the other stars within the home side in their way to sealing their way into the knockout stages.
