Luton vs Southport by GamblerGB

Last weekend I bet on Southport not to lose against Aldershot, but it ended with a smack on whole 5-1 to Aldershot. My argument was based on that Aldershot had a very thin squad and only three players was on the bench. Southport have problems with absences in their last matches and further three players are ruled out for tonight's match against Luton Town.

Southport have lost their last three matches with an overall scorer at 9-1 and today they will face a stronger opponent which is placed 3rd on the tabel. Luton is probably the biggest club in the league and since they were relegated in the 2008/2009 season, they have been close several times for promote to League 2. They are again among the favorites for promotion and therefore matches like this must give three points if promotion should be a reality. Off course Southport will do everything possible to take points from the match, but the defeat on Saturday against a team that is worse than Luton, I think it has weakened their confidence and morale, and I think this match comes to early for the players.

Team news

Southport is in relation to Saturday's 5-1 defeat without three players from the starting line-up, two defenders and a midfielder. Luton welcome Jonathan Smith back into the midfield after suspension.

I think Luton will win this match against Southport which have many important absences. I bet on them to win by at least two goals to a very great odds.
