Anderlecht vs PSG by 20legend

PSG are doing as predicted as they lead group C with six points and 7-1 on goal difference after smashing Olympiakos (1-4) away from home and Benfica (3-0) at home in their last CL match. The French club has been very impressing in both Ligue 1 and CL, as they grabbed the first position when they won against Bastia (4-0) on Saturday.

Everybody knows the extreme qualities of this team as they possess some unbelievable players. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani was paired up during their victory against Benfica (3-0) and should be able to create a lot of trouble for the Belgian defense. Together with creative players like Lavezzi, Veratti and Motta, I expect a huge win for PSG here.

Defender Thiago Silva is back in training, but is still struggling with his hamstring injury, while Javier Pastore and Christophe Jallet remains out because of injuries.

Anderlecht has lost both of their games in group C as they lost against Benfica (2-0) and Olympiakos (0-3). The game against Olympiakos was clearly not good as Anderlecht was not able to score even if they got a penalty, had most of the ball possession (55%) and most shots on goal (7 vs 5). A loose tonight will probably mean the end for Anderlecht in CL this year so they have everything to play for. They got a boost ahead of tonight’s game after beating Mons (0-2) in the domestic league this weekend, which brought them up to 5th place at the table, seven points from the league leaders.

However, they have got some bad news squadwise as their goalkeeper Silvio Proto is missing during injury, and Thomas Kaminski will take his place. Ronald Vargas (midfielder) will also be missing during his knee surgery.

This is a match were I can’t see Anderlecht getting any great result from based on the two other games that they have played. The game against Olympiakos was a little bit surprising as they lost by three goals, and I can therefore clearly see Ibrahimovic, Cavani and the other world-class players within PSG to score at least three goals as well. The road for progression is so long for Anderlecht that I think if PSG grabs an early goal; it could trigger a cascade of chances for PSG as the players on Anderlecht would be losing what’s rest of their faith. PSG on the other hand will be hunting goals in order to proceed into the konckout stages. They have scored a lot of goals in both of their previous games against better opponents than tonight, so my pick will be for PSG to score at least three
