South-Korea
VS
Mali
Only by looking at the fifa rankings it promises to a be a tight one even though that ranking rarely makes sense. Soutk Korea is 58`th while Mali is 38˙th. South Korea is a strong favorite but have done nothing to prove it. They played against Brazil 2 days ago and lost 0:2. A lot of running from them but without much end product, some regulars are totally out of form and the team doesn`t really look competitive. If Brazil played with some resolve it would have been a dissaster for the hosts. Brazil really showed nothing in that game and still won. Even before Korea qualified for the World cup they played unconvincing and it looked worse since then. I don`t know what the problem is in this team but they certainly lack confidence. In their last matches they might have won against Haiti 4:1 but had 2 penalties and a man more one the field. They made a lot of passing mistakes and looked pretty shaky at the back. The same thing repeated against a B team Croatia when they gave away numerous balls in dangerous positions and conceded some easy goals from crosses. It ended 1:2.

Mali came in Korea on Friday and I really don`t know what to expect from them. I haven`t seen them play recently but anyone has a chance against Korea atm. Mali certanily showed that they can be dangerous being in the ACN semis in 2013 and have some very familiar names. Playing in the France leagues certainly adds a doze of quality. The interim coach of Mali Amadou Pathé Diallo has some injuries on their side:“ goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa (knee) and central defender Molla Wagué (meniscus operation) and forwards Mustapha Yatabaré (knee) and Fantamady Cheick Diarra (thigh).“

For this match has gathered 18 players:“ Goalkeeper: Germain Berthé (Onze-Creators), Abdoulaye Samaké (COB)

Defenders: Ousmane Coulibaly (Stade Brest, France), Adama Tamboura (FC Randers, Denmark) Idrissa Coulibaly (Raja Casablanca, Morocco), Mahamadou N'Diaye (Troyes, France), Boubacar Sylla (RC Lens, France)

Midfielders: Seydou Keita (FC Aerbin Dalian, China), Tongo Hamed Doumbia (Valenciennes, France), Ismael Keita (SCO Angers, France) Samba Sow (Karabükspor, Turkey), Abdou Traore (Bordeaux, France), Yacouba Sylla (Aston Villa, England), Sambou Yatabaré (Olympiakos, Greece)

Forwards: Kalifa Coulibaly (PSG, France), Mana Dembele (Clermont Foot, France), Mahamadou Samassa (Verona, Italy), Modibo Maiga (West Ham United FC, England)“.

This game can end every each way so the odds are on the guests.
