Aris vs Panetolikos by Tullamore
"Do or die" situation for Aris and believe me, i am not excessive at all... Take a look at this teams schedule;
It is playing against Panaitolikos at home this Sunday and it will travel to play against Panionios and Veria at the two upcoming ones.
Panionios is tougher than it was expected and Veria has impressed everyone and it seems that it is stronger than we all thought.
Aris lost by Xanthi on Monday, despite the explosive quarter at the first quarter of the second half (2 hits on the post and a couple of clear chances to score), when he didn't manage to score a goal and suffered a second one moments later.
This team also lost by Olympiacos Volou on Thursday, due to the Greek Cup, at a game that David Aganzo played for the first time this season, after the 5 game penalty since last season.
For the ones, that do not have any clue, Aganzo was the key player that helped the team to avoid the relegation last season and he will be the X-factor this year too. The Spaniard is a striker that can score without wasting many chances.
This is what Aris need at the moment, as long as it is hard for it, to reach to the opponents defensive area.
On the other hand, Panaitolikos is also struggling at the offensive part of the game, but it has better results so far, including a home 2-0 victory against PAOK and a scoreless draw against Olympiacos at the last game.
It has lost the two away games though and this is why i think that Aris might have a shot at this game.
The guests don't seem to be so effective defensively on the road and that gives Aris an advantage.
Aris has to win this game, unless it wants to relegate. The schedule is tough for the hosts and the future is not bright at all.
They will make a step to the right direction if they do the job on Sunday.
Pick Aris to win for the first time this season one way or another.
