Roses United vs United FC by Sureseye
Roses United - United FC
Roses United are a four year old club in South Africa. They seem to have kept with the motto of the club which is keep on keeping on; they gained promotion to the First Division of the country's football league in 2012/2013 season after been the Free State province winner from 2009-2011.
Last season, the side finished 12/16 in the inaugural campaign in the First Division league. They stood at (4-3-8) at home ground and did better at (6-3-6) away from home as it seemed the Westdene Stadium, Bloemfontein is too weighty for the side to gain an ideal home advantage. The club recently has been sold to former Dynamos PRO Sinky Mnisi. However, there seems to be either management gaps or debt as players and coach have not been paid their salaries and the players are on strike.
Roses United played their season opening match at home welcoming Black Leopards who weren't creative to play their attacking football. Host played defensively organized and comported but lacked real bite upfront as the gap of their sold last season's best player Lerato Lamola (8goals in 23 appearance) became obvious. Midfielder Gololo Bamose got suspended and will be missing today.
United are a regular out fit in the first division and finished as second best travellers last season at (6-5-3). Team lost some players over the transfer window but still kept what largely forms their framework as a team. They are coming from a 1-1 draw they made on travel to Jomo Cosmos in a match the host largely took control but the guest didn't lack the come-back spirit; new signing Madoda Motha scored for the host, before Marothi Diale equalised for United towards the last moment of the match.
Roses United looks unsettled at the moment and guest can build on their last season momentum on travel and at least make a point today!
