Manchester C. vs Newcastle by UK-Selections
Tomorrow, 19 Aug 2013, 21:00
Venue: Etihad Stadium (cap. 47.726)
Weather: 18° (Sunny periods)
One of the title contenders Manchester City opens the season at home vs Newcastle United. After departure of coach Mancini, I really think they found good replacement which will bring to City more offensive soccer, in contrary of Mancini's style. Pelegrini was well known for offensive football during his time in Madrid (Real) and this was the period (one of them) when Real played really beautifull football, but still didn't win the title.
City has rock solid defence and last season were the team who conceded the fewest goals. Now with Pelegrini, they will play more offensive knowing his style (Pelegrini) we might see Barry and Miler with less playing time. New players Fernandinho, Navas and Negredo are all more skilfull players and I bellive Pelegrini will give them advantage over these two. Newcastle have never won a league game at the Etihad Stadium (D2, L7) and now IMO they can't stand a chance vs City who is improved comparing to last season.
Manchester City: Matija Nastasic is injured and the only missing player, Kun Aguero has overcome his knee injury and is fit to play.
Newcastle United: New aquisition Loic Remy is injured and will miss out, while Davide Santon, Steven Taylor and Jonas Gutierrez are all doubtfull due to fitness reasons.
