Middlesbrough vs Blackpool by Sureseye

Getting ahead in their first two league matches and failed to hold on defensively, Boro have tightened their back last match away to Crystal Palace winning 1-0. Boro have not had the start many expected this season, and a lot will be expected by their home fans today.

A last minute own goal gave Blackpool the 3 point last match at home, a game that saw no ambition in front of goal from both sides. Play-maker Tom Ince is suspended for one more game and Blackpool should lack creativity in attack yet again.

Middlesborough have players within their ranks that boasts of premiership experience such as Jonathan Woodgate, Dean Whitehead, Grant Leadbitter, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Marvin Emnes and Mustafa Carayol. It will be expected they get back to winning at home, where though they've been poor of recent.

Tony Mowbray:

"There are no easy games and Blackpool have won their first two league matches," said the Boro boss.

"They're a lot different to Ian Holloway's side. They have long

throws from both sides and put the ball into your box.

"But it's a challenge we're looking forward to. We have to get back to winning ways at home. We are a good side and have some good players.

I expect Boro to just nick it today in what looks a low-scoring game. Of course I've had to ditch recent meetings between the two, but it appears Blackpool now plays boringly compact just like Mowbray had hinted.

I'll go with Under just in case the deadlock refuses to break. Blackpool could be comfortable with a point and sit back. I also fancy 'both NOT to score' and Middlesborgh winning to nill.
