FK Minsk vs Naftan by Sureseye

Four days ago, FC Minsk sealed their qualification to the next round of the Europa League. Having earlier lost 1-0 in Minsk, the onus lied on them to up-turn the result in Scotland. Rnic Milos goal in 75 minute ensured Minsk could extend the game for the next 30 minutes after the 0-1 scoreline after 90 minutes, which eventually got settled in a PK shoothout. Apart from the energy sapping 120 minutes stretch of play, the Belarusians played hard and physical, resulting in them making 34 fouls; every department were alert and played physical.

FC Minsk are now back in the league where they'll hope to translate their winning morale and get some position limp up the table. With their counter-attacking style of play, they do not allow too many goals on their turf, and neither are they interested in scroing too many; they've scored 8 goals and conceeded 6 goals at home. Only Dinamo Minsk had been able to score 2 goals against them on their home turf which was in the Minsk derby.

Naftan are second to the last on the league table and are the sides with the highest number of draws in the league, indicating their usual 'soak-the-pressure' footballing style; it has only gained them 9 out of 27 available points on travel. Obviously, the side scores less and tries to play compact most time hoping to grind out draws away from home. They stand at 8:11 in their 9 away matches.

Naftan will continue to play compact on travel while I don't think Minsk will have enough strength to push too much, but rather sit on their goal should they get on the score-sheet, been fatigued after their exhausting last Europa League match.
