One of the most interesting games of the day from Wimbledon will be the one between Simona Halep and Na Li. The romanian is on the verge of achieving something sensational: 3 consecutive playing weeks without a single defeat, I don't a have a statistic on me but this I'm sure is a rare occurrence. For this she only needs to win two more matches, the first one beeing the one against former Roland Garros champion, Na Li. The chinese, a perennial Wimbledon title favorite has had mixt succes this year: she started very well winning the first edition of the Shenzhen Open, then she reached the final at Australian Open, but since then her results have followed a downward spiral, with only one final at Stuttgart and some surprinsing early exists like those in Madrid, Rome, RG or even last week in Eastbourne when she lost in front of Vesnina in QFs. Halep has a great potential, last round she made her life hard against Govortsova, after winning easily the first set she dropped her level and that allowed the belarussian to get back in the match, but in the end Simona won pretty easily. These two players only met once, in US Open first round 2 years ago and Halep attained a schocking victory 6-2, 7-5. A similar outcome now wouldn't be as surprising as then since I rate Halep one of the future stars of WTA tour.
