Chile vs Egypt by 20legend
The FIFA Under 20 World Cup continues as Chile and Egypt kicks off the tournament in Group E. The tournament has involved a lot of entertainment and especially many goals so far, and I am convinced that it will be the key-word in this fixture as well.
Chile has a very strong attacking squad which they have shown in their friendlies before this Word Cup. They have played four friendlies after their 1-1 draw against Peru in the South American Championship U20, and they are unbeaten in all four games (3-1-0). Chile played three friendlies in June, against D.R Congo U20 (3-0), Spain U20 (4-4) and Australia U20 (1-3). The match against Spain is a very good example on Chile’s potential offensively, even if they also obviously struggled defensively against Spain. However, Chile did also beat Tahiti’s senior squad (7-0) in front of the Confederations Cup, and they seem to be full of confidence ahead of this World Cup.
Egypt has also impressed a lot on their continent as they arrives the World Cup as winners of the African U20 Championship earlier this year. This clearly shows their quality and their abilities of scoring goals were confirmed in their friendly-match win against New Zeeland (5-3) ahead of this tournament.
There is no doubt that these two teams are able to be a dark horse in this tournament. The other teams in the Group E are England and Iraq, so this match could be the key for both teams to fight for advantage here. Both of today’s teams has shown their ability to score goals, but I fancy Chile to win as I think that they will be able to produce more chances than Egypt tonight. While Chile will create a lot of chances, Egypt must take advantage of their efficiency when they get their chances, and I think that this will make an exciting match here. It is hard to predict an opening match in a big tournament, and especially with two potential dark horses involved. I therefore rather choose goals which I am very confident will be the best option here. I can see Chile winning here, but I also think that Egypt will be able score at least one goal as well. Over 2.5 goals will be my pick.
