Spain vs Uruguay by 20legend

Spain is together one of the biggest favorites to win Confederations Cup, together with Brazil. They have send a very strong squad into this tournament and they are set to win their first game, as it may be very important as the other opponents in the group are Tahiti and Nigeria. Uruguay is therefore the most difficult opponent in the group, and a win for either team here could be a huge step into proceeding from the group stage.

Spain probable lineup:

Arbeloa, Pique, Ramos, Alba

Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta

Pedro, Villa, Mata

Uruguay could be one of the outsiders to win this tournament as they have also a very strong squad here. A win against Spain would be a surprise, but they could absolutely give Spain real fight here.

Uruguay probable lineup:

M Pereira, Lugano, Godin, Caceres

Perez, Gargano, A Pereira

Cavani, Forlan, Suarez

Spain is the clear favorites here, as their way of playing often irritates their opponents, and tearing them apart through the game. However, Uruguay has a very strong team, and especially with their three strikers Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan. Uruguay got a boost of confidence after their win against Venezuela (0-1) in the WC Qualification match last week. Luis Suarez was out during a suspension, but he is back tonight which give Uruguay an extra attacking dimension.

Spain has not lost to Uruguay in the latest six games (3-3-0). Uruguay has been in a terrible form before their latest win against Venezuela, which give them a 1-2-4 form from their last seven games. Both teams met in a friendly in February, which Spain won 3-1. I expect Uruguay to step up I this very important game in the group stage, and they have players that could score if they get the chance. Spain always dominates possession and thereby almost always score in the end. I think both teams will score in this opener.
