Spain vs Special bet by 20legend

The U21 Championship 2013 will take place in Israel from June 5th - June 18th. There are two groups:

Group A: England, Italy, Israel and Norway

Group B: Spain, Germany, Netherlands and Russia

The two best teams from each group will proceed and meet in a Semi-Final. The winner from each of the Semi-Finals will fight for the honour and glory of beeing the best national team in Europe 2013.

Spain would be the favorites once again in this U21-Euro, but they have to fight all the way through a very tough group B, together with Germany, Netherlands and Russia. Germany is the biggest favorite after Spain to win the championship, but also the Netherlands could be an outsider from this group.

It is no doubt that Spain have the biggest amount of firepower in their squad with some magnificent young talents that already plays a major part in their clubs. Spain have picked out these players for the U21-Euros:

Keepers: David De Gea (Manchester United), Diego Marino (Villareal) and Joel Robles (Wigan).

Defenders: Martin Montoya (Barcelona), Nacho Fernandez (Real Madrid), Marc Bertra (Barcelona), Marc Muniesa (Barcelona), Alvaro Gonzalez (Zaragoza), Alberto Moreno (Sevilla), Daniel Carvajal (Bayer Leverkusen. Agreed back to Real Mardrid rencently).

Midfielders: Asier Illarramendi (Real Sociedad), Inigo Martinez (Real Sociedad), Sergio Canales (Valencia), Koke (Athletico Madrid), Thiago Alcantara (Barcelona), Ignacio Camacho (Malaga), Pablo Sarabia (Getafe), Isco (Malaga).

Attackers: Rodrigo (Benfica), Cristian Tello (Barcelona), Alvaro Morata (Real Madrid), Iker Muniain (Athletic Bilbao), Alvaro Vasquez (Getafe).

Julen Lopetegui got the responsibility of being the new head coach in 2012, and his task would be to help Spain U21 taking a fourth title in this tournament. They succeeded in Denmark 2011, and they will be favorites to win again with this squad. Spain danced through the Qualification with 7-1-0 and 27-2 on goal difference. They met Denmark in the Play-Off and the totally outplayed them and secured an 8-1 win over two matches. The topscorer both in the qualification and for Spain was Rodrigo with 11 goals that play for Benfica on a daily basis.

I see great value in Spain to win the U21-Euros in Israel. They have quality in every position and they also possess some young talents that either have much experience or play regularly at the highest level in Europe. Players like Isco, Rodrigo, Tello, Muniain, Canales, Morata and so on. They also have a world-class goalkeeper in David De Gea that is a clear first-choice for Manchester United. He has had a very good season this year, and improved a lot. He only let in two goals from eight matches in the qualification, and he is without any doubt the best goalkeeper in this tournament, which also gives Spain more confidence defensively.

The group is very tough, and the first game against Russia will be a key-match for Spain, as they would be the “easiest” opponent when we look at this group. Germany looks very strong as well, and we could tell a lot from the meeting between these two teams in the group stage at June 9th. However, if both Spain and Germany goes through from group B, they will not meet before a possible final.

There are no easy opponents from group A either. If Spain should go through their group, they must face teams like England, Italy, Israel or also Norway who actually got a very exciting team in this championship. Therefore it will not be a walk in the park for Spain, but Spain does have the ability to win if they play at their best level as we all know.

Spain must break down some major teams here, Germany, England, Italy and Netherlands as the major opponents for the title. These teams also have some fantastic players , but I think that Spain have a stronger squad overall, with more players that plays at the highest level in Europe on a reg
