Honefoss vs Rosenborg by 20legend

Honefoss will take on Rosenborg at AKA stadium tonight in what should be an entertaining match with a lot of goals involved.

After a very strong couple of games at the start of the season, Rosenborg have been down for some games now and they have only 1-2-2 in their last five games. However, they have shown some good spirit in their last two games, which tells us that they are beginning to find themselves again. After a draw against start (1-1), loss against Haugesund (3-1) and Sandnes Ulf (0-1), Rosenborg came back from 2-0 and drawed 2-2 against Aalesund FK two weeks ago. This was a little bit of a turning point for Rosenborg, and they continued their good spirit and beated Tromso 2-1 last week. The match against Tromso was very entertaining, and Rosenborg should have scored many more goals. They obviously dominated the play and could easily score two or three more goals.

Defender Stefan Strandberg (2/1) is being rested after he has played 90 minutes both against Aalesund and Tromso after recovering from a operation before this season.

Honefoss have done okay in their first eight games of the season with 2-3-3 and nine points. After a loss against Haugesund (0-1), Honefoss have three straight draws against Sandnes Ulf (1-1), Sarpsborg 08 (1-1) and Tromso (1-1) before beating Vålerenga (1-2) in a very good game by Honefoss. They could also have beaten Tromso, but their striker Rikus Riski missed at an open goal in the 90th minute. Honefoss are expected to struggle in the bottom half this season, but they are unbeaten for four games in a row now, and their play have been very good over the two last games.

Midfielder Toni Kolehmainen (1/0) will be missing during a long term injury, while defender and captain, Frode Lafton (2/0) also misses the match.

These matches have been very entertaining with many goals and chances involved. Rosenborg are expected as one of the teams to win this season, while Honefoss must avoid relegation. Every team in Tippeligaen wants to beat Rosenborg because of their size as a club and their fantastic history over the years. Therefore every team pick themselves up a bit and always do better against Rosenborg than other teams. Rosenborg seems to be at the level they should be on again, and each of their players is far better than each player at Honefoss. Last season, Rosenborg won 1-4 at this pitch and we should see something close to that in tonight’s game as well.
