Saint Etienne vs Ajaccio by Jamesington

Despite being shown live on ESPN I reckon this will be one to miss.

St Etienne have done well this year, not losing a match in Ligue 1 and on Sunday they beat Rennes to win the League Cup however they have drawn 3 of their last 6 and will likely be tired after the exertions of the weekend when they had their big day in the cup final.

Ajaccio are struggling near the bottom of Ligue 1 and could yet face relegation if things do not go their way in the closing weeks of the season. They have drawn 7 of their last 13 matches and 6 of their past 7 away games (with no game featuring over 2.5 goals).

This fixture has also traditionally been a tight one. In the past 7 meetings between the 2 clubs, 4 have been draws - 0-0 on 2 occasions and 1-1 twice also.

St Etienne lie in 5th position in Ligue 1 and a win would take them above Lille so an insurance bet on 1-0 to the tired home team could be worthwhile (as a low-scoring affair is all but certain due to Ajaccio's stingy defence and fruitless attack).

For Ajaccio, a point would be a good result against a team much higher than themselves in the league so I can see both teams accepting the tie.

St. Etienne v Ajaccio DRAW 3pts @ 4.33 with Coral (and others)

Due to Ajaccio's recent away record - 3 of their past 7 away fixtures have finished 0-0, 3 of them have finished 1-1 and the other resulted in a 1-0 loss - I would suggest a number of correct score wagers [the 1-1 and 0-0 bets are also due to the recent head to head record between these sides, the first fixture this season finished 0-0].
