Race 3 vs Race Winner by Jamesington
John Smith's Melling Chase (Grade 1)
This is about the closest you will ever get to a sure thing. Similarly to betting on retired-champion Frankel, with Sprinter Sacre the question seems to be who will come 2nd rather than who will win the race.
Rated as the 3rd best ever chaser by Timeform (after the legendary Arkle, and Flyingbolt) Sprinter Sacre has won every race over fences he has run in, 8 out of 8. Most recently running at Cheltenham in March, the horse destroyed a field including Sizing Europe to win the Champion Chase by 19 lengths and despite facing good horses today (eg: Flemenstar, Cue Card) the race should be won easily by the favourite.
A step-up to 2m4f should hold no problems, the horse has run over 2m in very tough conditions before and with a dry day expected that ground shouldn't be an issue.
Whilst it is of course possible to wait for the SP in racing, I thik it will only go in one direction - down. Plunge in on the 1.33 (widely) available just now and snap up a small profit.
