QPR vs Wigan by Jamesington
QPR's home record is abysmal. They have taken only 13 points all season (the lowest in the league) at home and are facing a Wigan side who are in the process of staging their now-traditional late season rally. The Latics have won 5 of their last 6 matches and have scored 10 goals in their last 3 away games.
Wigan are full of belief at the moment and with an FA Cup semi-final coming up against Millwall after this match, it would seem likely that the club will be taking part in a major final this season - if that is not a confidence booster for the players then I don't know what would be.
Given that QPR have also staged something of a rally in the past few games, I am not backing Wigan to win - simply to continue doing what they have done and score goals. QPR were unlucky to lose against Aston Villa but there can have been no arguments that they deserved to concede a couple of goals.
With both clubs facing a desperate fight to stay up, I think this will be an end-to-end match and Wigan know how to take their chances. I do actually fancy them to avoid relegation - but let's deal with it a game at a time and make some cash while we can.
