Cardiff vs Blackburn by Jamesington

Whilst Cardiff appear to be stumbling over the finish line to finally reach the Premiership, Blackburn have fallen flat on their face about halfway round the track and have no hope of a podium position.

After a moderately good start to the season which saw Rovers sitting in third position (and the manager getting sacked) they have fallen to pieces and now sit dangerously close to the relegation zone (oh, and 2 further managers have been sacked in the mean time). Blackburn have not won any of their past 9 matches and have not won away from home, in the league, since 2012.

Cardiff - despite hitting their worst run of the season recently, 3 games without a win - are sitting top of the league by 7 points and with a game in hand. A game against the crisis club of the division, at home, should be the perfect remedy for any cold feet the Welsh club are having.

Earlier in the season Cardiff won the first meeting of these two teams 4-1 and since then things have only gotten better for the league leaders and worse for Blackburn - so I can see nothing but a home victory.

A word of caution for those keen to wade in on the home side with a handicap of -1/-2 at tasty odds, it has been a long time since Cardiff won by more than 1 goal at home (I believe October was the last occasion) and Rovers do not tend to concede too many goals - having said that Cardiff will probably romp to victory. I'm more than happy with the home side at 1.75 - maximum
