Chelsea vs Manchester United by Jamesington

Whilst statistics certainly should not be the sole basis for any wager, it is fairly staggering that when these 2 sides face each other there have been over 2.5 goals in the last 7 matches and in the last 9 if you only include domestic fixtures - in all of those games both teams scored at least 1 goal.

Perhaps a more important game for Chelsea and Rafa Benitez than their Manchester counterparts, this FA Cup replay is a big game for both nonetheless. With the winner reaching the semi-finals of the competition (where they would face Manchester City) this can not be labelled a meaningless cup tie.

Manchester United have found the net in their past 9 away matches and Chelsea, at home, have not failed to score in their past 8 - this fixture looks made for goals.

If either manager decides to field a 'weakened' line-up then those teams are likely to still contain Fernando Torres, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez - a breathtaking wealth of goal-scoring talent so I really can not see anything but goals to come in this game.

My initial choice was to back both teams to score but with a bit more value on offer in this market, I am inclined to lump on the over 2.5 goals option.
