Melbourne Stars vs Melbourne Renegades by AlQahira

Stars and Renegades will meet this morning on Melbourne Cricket Ground, a match that will put face to face the teams credited with the biggest chances of reaching the final. Melbourne Stars are the star studded team of the competition, Cameron White, Brad Hodge, Shane Warne, Luke Wright, Glenn Maxwell, and the best twenty20 bowler in the world, the flamboyant sri lankan Lasith Malinga. These are just some of the regulars from the Stars lineup and many consider that if they don't win this year competition that will be a big suprise. On the other side the Renegades are the suprise package of BBL02 after a miserable BBL01. The Renegades at the start of the competition where seen as the 7th favorite to win the title (from 8 teams) so their performace is quite a surprise. Mostly owed to their skipper Aaron Finch and to the 3 pronged spin attack Muraliaran-O'Brien-Samuels. But overall I don't see them that good, they exhibited some frailties when put under pressure as we have seen a few days ago in Perth. Stars already lost a game against the Renegades this season, a big suprise at the time, another loss in front of their cross city rivals could really jeopardise their chances of clinching a play-off spot. But I strongly belive that the Stars are the better side and they will win this match, maybe not easily, but clearly a win.
