Coventry vs Shrewsbury by Marlo

Coventry City host Shrewsbury Town in Round 26 of the English League One.

Coventry City are definitely one of the form teams in England at the moment. Their last 10 games makes for excellent reading, 7 wins and three draws. In fact, their last two wins have been away from home and this has come against two teams that were ranked above them when entering the clash. They saw off Stevenage and more recently MK Dons on their travels and returning to home turf against a team that is yet to win away from home should offer little surprise in terms of results.

Coventry currently sit 9th place with 37 points from 25 games and have a goal difference of +11. They are on a good run of form and have shown in recent games that they are even able to come from behind and win games as this was the case in their last match against MK Dons.

Shrewsbury Town are ranked 19th and have collected 25 points from 25 games. They have a goal difference of -5 and are unbeaten in six. However, five of those have been draws and mostly against opponents that aren't nearly of the level of the hosts.

Coventry should get out to an early lead here and control the match securing a routine victory. I won't go for greed and try to cover a handicap or anything of similar extravagance. I will keep it simple and hope an upset doesn't occur.

Home win is definitely on the cards here. Medium stakes.
