Charlotte vs Cleveland Cavs by Alexcosta19
Charlotte Hornets have lost 4 in a row and now with a 5-7 record they head back at home where they are tough to beat. Good news for the Hornets as their arguably second best player , Nicolas Batum is expected to play in this contest. The frenchman is yet to played this season because of an injury he suffered this summer and that kept him out of court for a little while.
Of course , he's gonna be a huge boost for Charlotte's season but is it the best game to make a comeback? Batum missed the pre season because of this injury and Charlotte were kinda active this off season picking up center Dwight Howard also with sharpshooter Malik Monk at the draft. I suspect they have yet to get some kind of chemistry on the court. Anyway, that is not the reason I'm picking Cleveland, it's just my view on the batum's return.
The Cavs have made a 23 pt comeback in their last game at the Madison Square , thanks to sharpshooter Kyle Korver and mostly Lebron James who did hit the game winner a beautiful step back at 3pt. And after a shaky start to the season , it looks like everybody starts to understand their role. The Cavs were really busy this offseason , acquiring 8 new guys, while trading their second best player for someone who's injured at the moment, so I'm personally not surprised of their slow start.
Lebron is key here , and always is. He plays maybe the best basketball of his career offensively but he also playing like someone who is tired of losing. In the 4th quarter against New York , he played 9 mins and 32 pts were scored by Cleveland during this time. Lebron was involved in 30 of the 32 pts.
With Thompson and Rose injuries , Cleveland now plays with Love at center and so Lebron can run "5 out offense". This means he's surrounded by shooters who's spacing the floor for him and that's when he's at his best. Tonight the Cavs get a chance to get back at .500 and I think they will take this chance, GOOD LUCK !
