Despite going down to 10 men early in the game, Melbourne Victory put a gutsy display to get a 1-1 draw against the Western Sydney Wanderers. They also had gk Lawrence Thomas to thank as his saves (including a pk) prevented the Wanderers from pulling away when they were leading 1-0.

Brisbane Roar remains winless after they were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Central Coast Mariners last week.

Besart Berisha will return will give Melbourne Victory a boost in the striking department but another international Mark Milligan won't be available. He joins James Troisi at the Australian setup. Kostas Barbarouses is with New Zealand while his replacement Mitch Austin is suspended after getting sent off on Monday.

I'm not too sure that Victory deserved to be such big favourites with most of their starting midfielders out. Maybe they will still win but it will be a close game. Brisbane Roar may still be winless but I think they have the quality in their ranks to cause an upset here.
