Central Coast vs Sydney FC by Blackcrow

Central Coast have drawn three and lost two of their five games so far, and they have been somewhat unlucky they have not picked up more points as a mixture of lack of clinical finishing and inexperience has cost them. They lost their opening game at home to Newcastle 5-1 after leading, then they drew 2-2 away to West Sydney after leading 1-0 and 2-1; they lost 2-1 in Perth after leading the game; they drew 1-1 at home to Melbourne Victory after once again scoring the first goal and then drew 0-0 in Brisbane lat week. CC have a much more youthful side than their opponents and though they will be competitive for at least 60 minutes, believe the superior fitness and experience of the champions will be overcome them

Sydney have won four and drawn one of their five games as they lead the competition, as they started off with a 1-0 win at Melbourne Victory; then they won 3-2 at home over Wellington; followed by a 2-2 home draw with West Sydney as they fought back from being down by two goals; then they won 2-0 at home Perth and won 1-0 at Melbourne City. Though they are a better side going forward than last year and they look like they have more goals in them, their defence, which was very good last year, have allowed some sloppy goals to Wellington and West Sydney, where last year, those kind of goals did not happen.

Believe that Central Coast will come out hard as they have done in all of their games and score early and put the pressure on Sydney, but the visitors have the momentum and superior fitness to come over the top of them in the second half. Sydney have won three and drawn the other of their last four visits to the CC, as they have won 3-2, drawn 2-2, won 3-1 and 5-1, which further supports the likelihood that both teams will score and Sydney will do enough to edge them out
