Deportivo vs Atletico Madrid by Pacifier

Deportivo won their last game away at Las Palmas by 3-1 to make it two victories from their last six games and move five points clear of the relegation places. It has been three defeats and two wins at home for them in the league and they face an Atletico side that has been struggling for form in recent weeks. The only worry for them is they are yet to beat a top side here as they have only newly promoted Getafe and struggling Alaves and lost to Girona, Sociedad and Madrid.

Atletico MAdrid had a week to forget as they drew 1-1 against European minnows Qarabag in the champions league. That results puts them in 3rd place and in need of a miracle to qualify from the group. They remain unbeaten in domestic competition though but still find themselves eight points off the top of the table. The problem for them in LA liga has been that they have drawn too many games (5). They are still well positioned in 4th place though with 20 points from ten games and they will be keen to get a victory going into the international break. They will make do without the services of Felipe Luis while Koke and Carrasco are a doubt for the game. Griezmann should take up a spot in attack with Kevin Gameiro as they seek their first win in four games.

This game is a must win for Atletico as they need to ease some pressure after a series of underwhelming performances and results. A win here would put them neck in with the teams above them as they would not want to fall further behind in the championship race. I believe they have enough quality to see off the challenge from the home side here. A low scoring game is also probable but I would rather stick to the decent quote of 1.80 for the away win.
