Wolves are looking super impressive this season, sitting in first place after 15 games this campaign. A big part of the credit for this accomplishment goes to the newly hired head coach Nuno Espírito Santo, who was trusted by the board to use a big transfer budget to collect the squad that would take Championship by force. The reputation of the coach helped him sign bargain signings of young potential stars in Ruben Neves for 16 million quid (the youngest CL captain in competition's history for Porto) and one of the stars of Championship this campaign Diogo Jota, who has 7 goals and 3 assists so far. He brought in big changes to the way this Wolverhampton team are attacking, and it is showing with 27 goals scored so far, which averages to around 2 goals scored per game. But their defense isn't the strongest, and perhaps that is the reason why Wanderers are not ruling the second tier of English football just yet. Wolves are very very weak at defending set pieces, with 53% of goals conceded coming from such situations. 15 goals conceded average 1 every game, which just proves my fact. Wolves have scored at least once in every home game this season. Wanderers have also shown great resiliency with an amazing 0:0 draw against Man City in the League cup. Not conceding for 120 minutes against one of the best attacks in Europe. Not bad, huh?
Fulham this season are just average, with 4 wins, 7 draws, 4 losses and 19 points the London team are in 16th place. Their playstyle involves possession football, many through pass attempts and playing more individually to create their chances. Fulham have scored in every away game bar one, a 0:0 draw against Leeds. Although all 4 of Fulham's wins were against mid-table teams, I believe that they could still cause some trouble by scoring a goal, preferably scored during a set piece situation. Even though the team isn't built to consistently win the ball up in the air, they still have players who try to win every ball possible, and more importantly, are able to do so.
