Apollon vs Atalanta by Pacifier

Apollon realistically need a victory in this game to improve their chances of reaching the knock-out rounds of this competition. They have two points from three games so far, scoring in all three and their is a realistic chance of them finding the back of the net again here. They are in good form also with their sole loss in six games coming in that 3-1 defeat at Atalanta a fortnight ago and apart from that defeat, they have three wins and two draws. They are a very strong team at home with their only dropped points coming in that 1-1 draw with Lyon on matchday 1 of the Europa League and apart from that, they have seven wins in eight home games this season. A victory here will put them on five points but still needing a favour from Everton to take points off Lyon in the other group game in France.

Atalanta will secure qualification with a victory tonight and that is motivation itself for the Italian outfit. They are playing well at home but have been a really poor side in away games and the quote of 1.72 on them emerging victorious will come as a shock to some. They are winless in six away games this season in all competitions, losing three and drawing the other three. They again lost their last away game in Serie A to Udinese by 2-1 and need to rectify their away form if they are to repeat last season heroics and even go far in this competition. A draw will not be such a bad result for them here and they could very much be contended with the lone point as it would keep them five point ahead of their opponent.

The standout bet for this game remains the 1.75 quote for both teams getting on the scoresheet. This bet would have landed in all Atalanta away games played this season and all Apollon games in the Europa league this season and at moderately good odds, that is my bet for this game.
