Besiktas vs Monaco by Blackcrow

Besiktas lead Group G with nine points based on three wins as they won 3-1 in Porto, beat Leipzig 2-0 at home and then won 2-1 in Monaco. A win here will seal their spot in the next group phase and like them to do so, given that they have a very good record in European competitions at home, having won the last four matches, while they are unbeaten in their last eleven games, winning five and drawing six. For Monaco to win they will have to play much better than they have then when they lost to them at home, but going on the road, to a hostile atmosphere, where they have lost their last two games they have played in Istanbul is going to be a very tough task for them to do.

While it was a pretty even game when these two sides last played, Monaco had Falcao playing for them and he scored their goal that night, but he is out injured for this clash which weakens their ability to score. They are struggling to get back to last season's form, but with the loss of several key players like Mbappe, this year was always was going to be one of starting all over again. Though they have won their last two games, both 2-0 at home to Cannes (7th) and away at Bordeaux (8th), this game will be a much tougher test for them.

Besiktas are playing their 200th game in Europe and given they have beaten all three opponents in their group games so far, hard to see them losing this one. Plenty of experience in their side especially with Pepe and Adriano in defence, and Tosun up front looking to add to the two goals he scored in Monaco. With a full strength side and at home, they look the likely winners here
