Sevilla vs Spartak Moscow by GLSports

Sevilla hosts Spartak Moskow in an interesting return fixture. The Russian side took a huge victory last time in Russia with 5-1 and the Andalusian side will be thirsty for revenge.

Sevilla cannot afford any slip ups this game. The team has a point less currently than their opponents and has the perfect opportunity to play them at home and leapfrog them in the standings. The team picked up some air in the last 2 games. Victory over Cartagena in the Copa Del Rey accompanied by one over Leganes in La Liga returned some of their lost confidence. The team is still playing inconsistently but at least their home record looks outstanding. 5 straight victories at home scoring at least 2 goals in 4 of them speaks for itself.

The Russian side also looks in a good form. They are sitting 1 point above their opponents and will most likely try to avoid defeat with an organized defensive style. They will try to limit the space and creativity of the Spaniards while defending deep. The team is in a good form having not tasted defeat in 13 games. They will be a lot more confident after their victory over Sevilla the previous game but playing away from home will be a difficult task.

Sevilla should be considered heavy favourites here. The team is strong at home and with their backs against a wall they have to get the result. They are a good team and should be able to edge the game.

I don't understand why people dislike this pick. Yes, Sevilla isn't same as last year but they still play well on home ground and they won't let Spartak take point from Seville, especially after losing 5:1 away. Maximum Spartak will get here is a goal IMHO. Andalusians will have big advantage which will reflect in scoring goals & having lots of corners.
