MLB, World Series, it's a Game 6 between Dodgers and Astros. The guests from Houston leads 3-2 in this series and tonight have chance to finish the job. In that aim, Astros will start with Justin Verlander, the pitcher who brought them here road victory in Game 2. Back then, Verlander has allowed three runs in six innings. Overall in this postseason Verlander is 4-0 and with 2.05 ERA. BTW, Verlander joined Astros late in the season and since moving to Houston, he is yet to lose the game. In ten games for Houston, he is 9-0 and with 1.53 ERA. So, obviously the Astros with valid reason are hoping to finish the job in Game 6. I think too, Astros are closer to win, but it will be very tough. Cause Rich Hill who will start for the Dodgers is also great. BTW, this is complete reply of pitching duel from Game 2. Back then Hill maybe was even better than Verlander. He has allowed just one run on three hits, though he was pitching only four innings. It was not Hill who lost the game back then but the bullpen. During those 4 innings, the score was only 1:0 in favor of Houston, so the Dodgers pretty much have been in that game.
Back to Verlander, the mentioned three runs in that Game 2, he has allowed in 5th (1) and in 6th (2) inning.
So, do not be fooled by the 6:7 final score back then, these two pitchers have been very good and the score after first half innings was only 1:1.
I think we can trust them both to be outstanding also in this Game 6. Thus my bet is under 4.5 runs in first half innings.
