Manchester United have won all three games in the group stages of the Champions League, beating second placed Basel 3-0 at home, then winning 4-1 at third placed CSKA Moscow and lastly, they won 1-0 at Benfica. In this game, Benfica had 2 shots on goal and another 8 wide of the goal while the visitors had 60% possession and managed to score the only goal from 4 shots on target and 5 shots off target. Not only are they playing at home for this game, but they will play with pretty much the same line up they have had in recent weeks. Expect the front four of Mata, Mkhitaryan, Martial and Lukaku to dominate here, as Benfica not only have their regular right back Almeida still suspended for this game, but also have central defender Luisao also suspended for this gme

Benfica did not manage to score against Manchester United in that game and hard to see them doing so in this game, as the home side has not allowed a goal in their five Premier League games while scoring 15 goals. Benfica have won their last two games in their domestic league, beating Feirense 1-0 and winning 3-1 at Aves, but these two teams are 12th and 16th respectively in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, and while Manchester United on the road is a massive step up for them. They have lost all three games in the Champions League, and really there is little hope of them finishing second, if as expected, they lost here. With this in mind, they may be more focused on the domestic league where they are five points behind Porto, and they have a reasonably tough game away to Vitoria de Guimaraes who have lost only one of their five home games this season, while Benfica have won just two of their five away games.

Expect Manchester United to dominate this game, and though Benfica will look to hold them out as long as possible, if they wish to even finish third and qualify for the Europa League, they still should be looking to get at least a point out of this game. Believe the pressure they will be under to tell, especially as they are missing two of their regular defenders. The home side does have a tough game away to Chelsea on the weekend, but with five days until then, doubt that their Portuguese manager will not want to make a statement here, as he previously coached Porto, and would love to win this game by a few goals. If this happens, then can see him making some changes midway through the second half to give some of his players a rest for the weekend game, so can also see them making a fast start and look to score early.

I am not sure about your decision to have the game lots of goals. I'm 89.6 sure that game is going to be a tough fight for both sides and after all The Red Devils will break the defence wall front of the nett. My opinion for this amazing contest is the Home Win & under 2.5 Goals and Bwin and other bookmakers give us attractive odds for this market.

I participate in another private tournament where I and other colleagues give our opinion about Champions League matches. My correct score for this event is 2:0.
