Vancouver vs Seattle by Pacifier

Vancouver win against San Jose would have given them a confidence boost in this play-off. They host Seattle in the first leg here and although Seattle should remain competitive and could ultimately qualify over the two legs, I do not believe they will trouble Vancouver much here. The host have been impressive at home remaining unbeaten in eight home games while winning five of them. They have scored at least twice in six of those eight games and will be fairly confident of scoring here against a Seattle side that have not been too good on the road. There are no new injury concern except from Matias Laba, and top scorer with fourteen goals Montero will lead the line once more.

Seattle are reigning MLS cup champions but they will not arrive here with confidence brimming has they been very poor when away from home as they have just victories from twelve away games losing six times. They will have to contend with injuries to key men in the squad with the like of Jordan Morris, Brad Evans and Osvaldo Alonso missing. Star Forward and top scorer Clint Dempsey is also unavailable through suspension after seeing red in the last game, and he will be missed sorely here.

Seattle are a tough side and will be hard to beat over two legs, but I feel the host are doing well enough at home and will be boosted by their midweek 5-0 win over San Jose. I believe they have enough to see off the challenge of Seattle in this game and claim a first leg victory.
