Wolfsberger vs Sturm Graz by SPC22
Wolfsberger AC started as one of the biggest candidates for relegation this season. They performed better than expected so far this season, but they also had an easy schedule yet. They faced all weak or small teams of the league at home. Therefore they collected more points than SV Mattersburg or SKN St. Pölten, but it's obvious that they will have to fight hard to stay in the league. During the week Wolfsberger AC lost against a 5th level team (!!!) in the Austrian Cup. As we know, everything can happen in a Cup competition, but losing against a 5th level team is a debacle that happens really seldom - even in a Cup competition. Like Sturm, Wolfsberger AC won't miss any key players today.
The weather is a big factor in Austria today, as there is a huge storm (about 140 km/h) and a lot of rain, but the weather is stable in Carinthia, where the game will take place. I expect that we will see a good derby with a huge amount of away fans. Two more important factors:
- Wolfsberger AC haven't won a game in Austrian Bundesliga since August 2017.
- It might be the last game of coach Franco Foda for Sturm Graz. Chances are high that he will be the next coach of the Austrian national team.
Considering these facts I expect both streaks to continue. Wolfsberger AC maybe is the weakest team of the league and Sturm is playing great. Furthermore they will give everything that their coach will have a perfect last game for "his" club. I'll go with the favorite Sturm Graz in this one. Looking at the odds and thinking about the form of both teams, the odds for a Sturm win are really nice.
