Man. United vs Tottenham by Danlaw
The match is important for both teams as they need a huge result to keep up with runaway league leaders, Manchester City. A draw will not be good enough, so I do not think either team would play for the draw. Mourinho deployed negative tactics against Liverpool the last time. I do not see him doing same in this one as his team plays at home and a draw will not be palatable. I do expect a bit of an open game for the above reasons.
The Manchester United defence do not appear to me as capable of holding the fire power of Tottenham, who have scored 19 goals in the league this season in 8 matches. they have scored in all but one of their games in all competitions this season, even in August when Kane was not scoring. Considering these,I expect themto continue their goal scoring form today. I also expect the attack of Manchester United to score today, even though Tottenham boast a water tight defence. Manchester United need a response to their loss against Huddersfield last weekend and this is a perfect match against arguably the best defence in the league.
Furthermore, games involving Man Utd average 10.78 corners in total. They have had over 3.5 corners in 5 of their nine league games and in all their three Champions league matches. I expect them to get at least four corners today as Games involving Tottenham average 12.00 corners in total this season. Tottenham have had over 3.5 corners in five of their nine league games so far.
I also believe because of how frenetic the match would be, there would be cards in the match and both teams wouldget at least two.
