Milan vs Juventus by Rahul

Milan have been a mixed bag in their form over recent weeks. While they started out the season with a bang; the moment the play shifted to twice a week with the Europa League; is when Milan have struggled to build up results. They have only won 2 out of their last 7 games in all competitions; which entails losses to Roma, Inter and Sampdoria while failing to score against AEK Athens and Genoa; before bouncing back in mid-week with a solid 4-1 win over Chievo. Despite too many new quality signings joining their ranks; they haven't been able to build a good rhythm which has seen them drop to 8th in the table with 4 losses in 10 games played so far and manager Montella on the edge of his seat. Today Milan will have to take on defending champions Juventus at home; who they upset last season but now have try and win it without their captain and marquee signing Leonardo Bonucci who is suspended from this game due to a red card last weekend. They will look to some confidence that Juventus have conceded in all 5 of their away matches this season and forwards Suso, Kalinic and Silva will all need to be at their best to disrupt Juventus in this game.

Juventus come into this game after 2 confidence boosting victories against Udinese 6-2 and SPAL 4-1. Juventus will look this encounter to continue building on that form after they had struggled and drop points in 2 games against Lazio and Atalanta that saw them surrender top spot to Napoli. Juventus will look to their key forwards Higuain and Dybala to give them support while Mandzukic returns back from his suspension to give additional firepower. Juventus' big issue has come on the defensive end, incidentally since the sale of Bonucci to Milan and with some recent injuries and suspensions as well as tinkering formations to accommodate some of their new signings. Juventus have now leaked goals in each of their 5 games that they have played in the month of October; and that bode well for them when they go to play away in this game.

Juventus games have seen lots of goals being scored; from their form and their defensive struggles with 6 out of their last 7 games seeing over 2.5 goals. That is exactly what needs to be backed here with over 2.5 goals in this matchup between 2 of the most successful clubs in Italian history.
