Sale Sharks vs Exeter Chiefs by MagicRat
Sale are a completely different team when they play at home. Both of their wins this season have come at hom int ehi last two home matches against London Irish and Glocuester. In those games they were impressive in attak as they scored 36 and 57 points in those matches. They didn't concede many points as they restricted London Irish to 7 points and Gloucester to 10 points but it is worth noting that these two teams make up two of three worst attacks in the league so far this season.
A game against Exeter, the defending champions will be a much tougher test for their defence. They are currently in second place with 4 wins and the third best attack in the league with only the league leaders, Saracens, and their opponents today, Sale, with more points scored than them this season.
Exeter will be confident after getting a late 27-24 win over Montpellier last week in a gripping match. Four of Exeter's six league matches and one of their two European games have gone over this many points and the same can be said of Sale's games, although Sale's home games have been lower scoring.
I still expect points here in a game that will probably remain close for most of it. Sale are very good at home but Exeter are one of the best teams in the league, although exeter have been complaining of having to play a game in France on Sunday and then another game on Friday, so that may be a distraction or it may lead to tiredness, allowing Sale to score more points.
