Bournemouth vs Chelsea by Pacifier

Bournemouth are in trouble this season following a set of lacklustre performances and results. Fans at the Vitality stadium must be wary of a real relegation scrap as they have seen their team pick up just seven points from nine games in the premier league. Bigger things were expected of them after last season top half finish and subsequent capture of Jermain Defoe. They were hoping to at least challenge for the European spot but defeat in their first four games put those ambitions in check. They improved somewhat in their last premier league game when they defeated Stoke at the Britannia by 2-1. They face a much harder challenge this week though as they host champions Chelsea who faced a slump themselves but are back to full throttle after back to back wins against Watford and against Everton in the league cup. Defoe is back to training after a hamstring injury but Joshua King, Tyrone Mings, Federici and Brad Smith are all out for the hosts.

Chelsea are back to business as usual as they beat Watford by 4-2, although in fortuitous circumstances and then made defeated Everton in midweek in the Carabao cup by 2-1. They need the points in the premier league as they now sit nine points off top placed Man City and four off 2nd and 3rd placed Man United and Tottenham who play each other in the early kick-off. Chelsea have yet to keep a clean sheet since the injury to Ngolo Kante and will be without him once again for this trip. Victor Moses is also out, but they welcome Drinkwater back from injury as he made his first start against Everton in the cup, although he might have to settle for a place on the bench as Fabregas comes back to the heart of midfield to partner Bakayoko. Morata should replace Batshuayi in the striker role with Pedro and Hazard providing support in a 3-4-2-1 formation. They are expected to settle back in their preferred back three of Azpilicueta, Cahill and David Luiz with Alonso returning to the left wing back position also.

Chelsea won both legs last season quite comfortably with this fixture finishing 3-1 to the away side. A similar outcome could be on the cards here as I expect Bournemouth to attack as they always do which Chelsea will exploit happily. Chelsea are far form tight at the back themselves, conceding in each of their last six games in all competition and in 75% of their away premier league games.

I therefore expect this game to be quite open and with goals in it and I pick the quote on Chelsea winning and over 2.5 match goals currently priced at 2.30 with bet365. This selection would have paid off in 80% of Chelsea away games this season with the exception being the 2-1 loss to Palace.
