Portland vs Player Special by Demogorgon
The Blazers started the season well so far with 3 wins and a loss against the Bucks in the most difficult game of the first 4 but they had an easy schedule so far. I di not like them against the Pelicans in the previous match though! A.Davis was subbed early in the first period and never came back to the game, still the Blazers could not take advantage of that (along with tons of other absences for the Pelicans) and that was a very close game for at least 35 minutes!
Despite all that, think the hosts have a decent advantage over the Clippers here as C.J. McCollum and Lillard are going to have an easy task against a team with huge issues at guard positions! I will share my thoughts to those interested: Doc Rivers is going to have to make a tough decision here by putting his son A.Rivers against McCollum or Lillard but he is hopeless in both occasions so i think Doc will protect him as much as he can, by giving more time to Lou Williams, C.J Williams and S.Thornwell but no mattwer what, the Blazers have a huge edge!
M. Leonard is back, while C.J. Wilcox is still uavailable for the Blazers.
The Clippers are in great shape but their current streak should foul nobody! They had an easy schedule so far, Lakers, Suns and Jazz. Tonight's game will be the first real test for their side, especialy since they face a team with so much talent at guard positions as i mentioned. Without CP3 anymore and Teodosic who picked up a serious injury which is going to keep him out for at least a couple of months, they do not have many options in PG and they definitely not have an actual playmaker, unless you can say that about Beverly! Now, that makes B.Griffin's task harder as he has to lead this team.
I am pretty sure that thing will change and the Clippers will record many loses in the forthcoming games despite their good start so you might want to take advantage of that!!!
Now, i was planing on picking C.J. McCollum's points at the small line of 23,5 or even the Blazers to win but for this one i will pick Nurkic at the very decent line of 12,5. He had a rough time against the Pelicans as he picked up 3 fouls in the first 6 minutes and had to be pulled out to the bench, where he spend most of the game. He is definitely going to be much more careful today. He has a tough opponent (D. Jordan) but he was very good in the first two 3 games, he has some great post moves, he is bigger than Jordan and i expect him to get the job done while also draw many fouls! This is a small line and Nurkic is going to cover it easily.
