Houston vs Kansas City by MagicRat
Houston have been amazing at home this season having lost just one match there in the league campaign and that was a 1-0 loss to Colorado. Other that one bad game they have won 12 and drawn 4 of their home games. They come into the play-offs in very good form as they are unbeaten in their last six matches in a run which includes three wins and three draws with the three wins coming at home. They have a superb coring record at home with 43 goals in 17 home games this season while they have only conceded 17 goals. That is a really impressive record. The one concern could be that they may be without Quioto who is a pivotal player going forward. They get 0.4 more points per game when he plays but I still think they could win here without him.
I think they will still win because Kansas are in such terrible form. In sharp contrast with Houston good run of form is a Kansas side that are winless in their last five matches and they are winless in their last seven away matches. Their last away win did come in Houston in the cup but I expect a much tougher test for them here. Their main problem this season has been scoring with just 40 goals all season and that problem is worsened in away matches where they have only scored 10 goals. They are good defensively conceding just 29 goals, 18 of which in away matches.
Despite their obvious defensive skill a more confident side in better form should beat Kansas here given that they hvae home advantage. This will be the third meeting between the two sides in the last two weeks with Houston winning at home 2-1 and the game in Kasas ending in a 0-0 draw. Quioto would be a loss for Houston but if he plays that these odds are superb value but even if he doesn't play anything over 2.00 is well worth taking here.
