Player Special vs Cleveland Cavs by Lloyds
Cavs (3-1) are going to visit Brooklyn Nets (2-2) tonight. The hosts are off to a surprising start and are playing fun basketball. The visitors are struggling with the lineup problems but they managed to hold off Chicago last night, en route to 119-112 victory.
Last night Lebron James started at the point guard first time since '05 and he did very well, recording 34 points along 13 assists. James is always the floor general in Cleveland squad but he was rarely formally assigned that role. He likes being the distributor and constantly engages his teammates, creating shots open for them or squeezing the ball in the paint. His versatility to draw defenders on him leaves a lot of scoring opportunities for other players and James makes sure to give them the ball.
The Nets are basically not playing any defense this year but they have showed so far that they can match up good offensively (currently they are no.1 in points scored). Their key scorer D'angelo Russel might not be available tonight but the Cavs will miss Rose and Wade, meaning they will be short in the backcourt. Lebron should compensate for their absence tonight and Cleveland still should not have any problems winning tonight. I see James playing with his usual flair tonight, engaging Kevin Love and JR Smith mostly, and scoring when he wants to. I think he will have some more motivation tonight because he knows everyone will be evaluating him at point guard position and yet again we will see his all-around skills on display. I don't think he will care about scoring 30 or 40 points tonight as long he gets them the win with a double-double (of assists).
