Player Special vs Philadelphia by Lloyds
Philadelphia (1-3) won their first game of the season Monday night against the Pistons but now they face one of the Western Conference's top contenders, the Houston Rockets (3-1).
76ers will be without their no.1 draft pick, Markelle Fultz, due to an injury which means Ben Simmons will take even more point guard duties. Against Detroit Simmons recorded a triple-double, becoming the first players since 1967 to record such feat within first 4 games of their professional career. Its pretty much clear that Simmons and Embiid will carry 76ers to success, if they manage to stay healthy, and so far this season they are both looking great. Simmons already displayed his versatility during college days and even though he maybe big for a point guard he still excels at being the playmaker. He doesn't have the best jump shot but he has the ball handling and can drive it to the hoop, where many opportunities arise as he can finish or kick it to one of his teammates.
Houston led by James Harden are implementing D'Antoni's fast pace of basketball and probably will run&gun against Philadelphia tonight too. They did not have the best 4th quarter in their loss to Memphis so expect them to make adjustments. Team's best perimeter defender Trevor Ariza (foot injury) won't be available tonight, as well as Chris Paul (knee injury).
I feel this one will be an entertaining match, which may as well come down to last couple of minutes to decide the winner. I think the stage is perfect for Simmons to have another great game and absence of Ariza should definitely make his job easier tonight.
