EHC Munchen vs Krefeld Pinguine by Sors

Munchen's four-game winning streak ended with a 4-5 shootout loss in Berlin last Sunday, but now Don Jackson's side returns to Olympia Eishalle, where the hosts have recorded seven wins and just one defeat in eight games since the beginning of the new season (7-0-0-1 30/19).Deron Quint (d / 9 goals + 20 assists last term), Richie Regehr (d / 3+15) and Matt Smaby (d / 5+9) left the club during the break, but Munchen signed with three other quality players in Ryan Button (d /15 1+2), Markus Lauridsen (d /15 2+1) and Patrick Hager (c /15 3+3) on its way to its third consecutive title.

It's well known that Munchen is a team with a powerful offense and this season obviously won't be an exception, as the hosts have scored a total of 56 goals in fifteen games (3.73 per game) and four or more goals in six of their previous seven games in October against Augsburger Panther (5-2/home), Nurnberg Ice Tigers (1-2 OT/away), Alder Mannheim (4-2/home), Straubing Tigers (5-2/away), Bremerhaven (5-3/home), Straubing Tigers (6-3/home) and Eisbaren Berlin. At the same time, Munchen conceded 43 goals (2.87 per game) and two or more goals in seven of its previous eight games at Olympia Eishalle.

Jerome Flaake (rw /10 0+0) and Jonathan Matsumoto (c /14 3+6) are out due to injuries.

The guests have been pretty inconsistent so far this season, as Krefeld Pinguine comes from a 5-2 away win over Ingolstadt on Oct. 22, but lost four of its previous six games in October and what is also important to be noted: Rick Adduono's side owns the third-worst defense in the league, conceding a total of 51 goals in fifteen games (3.40 per game). On the other hand, Krefeld's offense shows some signs of awakening lately, as the guests have scored three or more goals in four of their last six games against Iserlohn Roosters (3-5/home), Nurnberg Ice Tigers (2-3/away), Eisbaren Berlin (3-2 SO/home), Schwenninger (4-5/home) and Indolstadt.

I expect more than five goals in that game between the teams of Munchen and Krefeld Pinguine.

Nice choice! Krefeld has not problems at scoring goals and Bayern scores at least 3 times in home games too.
